One thing you should know about me is that I grew up watching Degrassi: Next Generation, so I have a bit of a soft spot for the Degrassi franchise. “Next Class” is the newest addition to that franchise. The show is on Netflix and definitely worth the watch. Today I am telling you what my favorite AND least favorite Character, Ship and Storyline of the show is!
CHARACTER;
My favorite character has to be Hunter Hollingsworth. I love this damaged puppy. Not only is he adorable to look at, he also has a great personality. Yes he has a depression and some other mental issues going on, but he is so strong and loyal. He is (a little too) willing to fight to protect the things and people he loves and I just have a soft spot for him!
My least favorite character is Zig Novak, I just.. urgh! He is such a terrible guy and I don’t get why he is so easily forgiven and gets away with everything. I don’t trust him at all and I kinda just want him out of the show. I really strongly dislike him. I’m sorry for you Zig fans, but I would love to see him go.
SHIP;
My OTP (aka favorite ship) in this show is.. Yael and Hunter. It surprises me that in a show with so many lgbt ships, a straight one is the one that captured me the most but it did. It feels like this is the only ship that isn’t rushed in the show, in fact it took two whole seasons for them to finally get together! I love my nerdy awkward babies and I love seeing them together!
The one ship I am not buying is Tiny and Shay, I just don’t feel their chemistry at all. Plus Tiny used to date Shays best friend. They break up and one second later he wants to be with Shay? Seems a little too fuckboy to me and Shay deserves to be with someone better. Just find someone better girl!
STORYLINE;
My favorite storyline is the one of my favorite female character Grace. I feel like her story is the only one going on a slow and normal paste. Right now she is a bit of a side character, but I hope that will change in season three because I need more of her story! Grace is by far the strongest character on the show and I cannot wait to see her develop even more!
My least favorite storyline is the one of Graces friend Maya. It’s not that I hate the storyline, it’s more that I am just not buying it. It seems so cliché and for once I would like to see a character trying to make it into the music industry and just not making it. Seriously, high school shows make it look like it is so easy to get to your dreams and for once I would like to see a more realistic storyline of somebody getting there!
BONUS: Eye Candies
Okay I have to talk about the two eye candies in this show…
Vijay is so cute! He looks adorable and honestly I just want him as my best friend. His smile is gorgeous and he is ALWAYS smiling. My eyes always get drawn to him!
The other eye candy is someone that I would so date and that is Lola Pacini. She is the cutest little thing and looks like an actual fairy. I don’t know if it is her cute face of her pink her, but she is total eye candy!
