Nine years ago on August 8th a nine member girl group made their debut in the kpop world to then grow out in the most legendary girl group in the industry. Of course I am talking about Girls Generation! To celebrate the nine years with Girls Generation, I am counting down my top nine Girls Generation title songs!
9: Mr. Taxi
Coming in at number nine I have the title song from their Japanese album “Girls’ Generation”. This song was released in 2011 and is my second favorite Japanese song of the girls. The album topped the Japanese charts and was the first foreign (none Japanese) group to ever do so. Mr. Taxi is a fun electric song which a nice beat to it

6: The Boys (Korean Version)
The Boys is the title song from the 2011 album The Boys. The song has a strong 90s girl group vibe and has a chorus you won’t easily forget. “You know the girls.. bring the boys out!” is one line every kpop fan can sing along to. The music video also has a strong cinematic feeling to it

5: All my love is for you
All My Love is for you wasn’t going to be a title song, but due to its popularity it became one. All my love is for you is a beautiful ballad from the 2012 Japanese album “Girls & Peace”. It’s my favorite Japanese song from the girls and my favorite ballad from them. It’s just so beautiful and honest and cute

4: Mr. Mr.
Mr. Mr. is the title song of the 2014 mini album Mr. Mr.. The Mr. Mr. album is probably my favorite Girls Generation album and Mr. Mr. is a really good electro song. It has some EDM and Hip Hop influences, but still has that classic bubblegum pop Girls Generation vibe to it. Aesthetically the Mr. Mr. music video and general era is my favorite

The music video won the first youtube awards and beat artists like Psy and Justin Bieber by doing so. I got a boy is Girls Generation’s masterpiece. The song has a lot of twists which makes it super interesting to listen to

1: Gee
My favorite Girls Generation song has to be their most iconic song ever.. aka Gee from the 2009 Gee album. This is the song that got Girls Generation their popularity. The song is a cute and happy bubblegum pop song with a bright and happy music video which is the second most viewed kpop girl group music video ever.
